This tri-folding publication ‘A Modern Eye’ works to capture the spirit of designer Paul Rand’s legacy, applying his principles of simplicity and modernity to create an engaging visual aesthetic. The publication utilizes the visual motif from Rand’s famous ‘IBM’ logo, using the linear pattern across the design to function as a grid and a visual narrative.

During the design process, feedback allowed me to embrace the grid further and apply the negative space to the photography also, which made a huge impact on the visual narrative.
